Learning third language.
Alhamdulillah.
Hello everybody!
Knowing that by learning new languages can boost our brain power & sharpen our memory, I am keen to wade through it. As for me, I love languages but still, I only managed to understand two languages for now - Malay & English. Mehhhhh.
In Malaysia, second language is English which we have learned it since kindergarten. While for the third language we usually enroll it in the University and most common languages that are available here are Arabic, Japanese, Mandarin, Germany & French.
Recently during my third semester, I chose to brush up on Arabic Language. I swear Arabic is one of the most hardest languages in the world. One thing that, it is perplexed that made me always ask my ustaz to translate the words in the text book even though i already asked him during our last class. Just imagine, what i've learnt in the class was just basic Arabic but I did not cope to ace it because we need to use most of the words according to their gender. I get puzzled every time. Sad but true.
But Alhamdulillah my ustaz is composure and he taught all of us with patience. My friends and I are looking forward to attend his classes on the upcoming semesters.
**Additional note:
I used to get 94% in my Arabic during primary school. Wow BUT the only words I memorised were “huwa huma hum hiya humma hunna anta antumma antum anti antumma antunna ana nahnu”. Plus, some other words like;
Ainun - eyes,
Uzunun - ears,
Sha’nun - hair,
Hamamun - dove,
Aswad - black,
and other simple words (very very basic ones) because my ustazah made a song for them. Thank you ustazah Yusmaliza for making me remember those words until now.

I really hope Arabic language will be a piece of cake for me in the future. I really need to consistently burn the midnight oil and do not give up!
Merely, every cloud has a silver lining... :p
I am now in progress of learning Korean wehuuuu. Thank God i have Safiyah who can be my teacher because she is already a master in Korean. She is my best friend since MRSM and she went to Korea for 5 years to further her studies.
What interesting is, Korean is much straightforward compared to Arabic and I have learnt it for the past two weeks using Duolingo application. You can get it for free in App Store or Play Store. It's just that, Korean in Duolingo is quite complex at first. I would love to suggest if you want to learn Korean, please Google the letters (consonants & vowels) first before you proceed with Duolingo.
I was mystified in the beginning but after Safiyah told me to understand the alphabets first, I finally understood what they are meant in Duolingo.
Another interesting way to learn Korean, you can buy a book with title "Jom Belajar Cakap Korea" in Shopee which will cost you RM58. I did not buy it yet but inshaAllah I will.
So, which language have you learned for your third fourth fifth language?
That is all for today. Thank you.
